NCB and FSMTB: The Muddy Water Remains?

I recently saw this article posted about a meeting of the minds between the NCB and the FSMTB. Meanwhile, comments continue to arise from various quarters across the country and abroad about what has been described as a lack of clarity.

The following statement from the NCB illustrates the lack of clarity I have heard expressed: “NCBTMB will no longer provide examinations for licensure purposes and will now focus exclusively on delivering quality certification programs.”

What I gather from reading this statement, alongside my own hesitation and those I have read online boil down to matter of civics and politics.

The NCB was for many years the only provider of any kind of exam that could be used as a gateway for the purpose of licensure. The FSMTB emerged and without a word offered in polite language to those of us who either eschew ivory towers or who were outside of them for any reason at all, began deconstructing the NCB, rather than offering an alternative and they did it like Terrorists while the country was worried about more serious concerns and have consistently displayed the audacity of feigned innocence.

This statement “NCBTMB will no longer provide examinations for licensure purposes and will now focus exclusively on delivering quality certification programs” is not worthy of comment honestly. The value of the FSMTB is as dubious as that of the corpse they raped like a body on a battlefield. The NCB has the most dubious leadership at this point to have published that comment.

I remain disgusted beyond words, especially after what occurred today in a Massage “Skeptics” forum.

I shared a question that originated in another group that asked for thoughts and opinions about COMTA’s recent decision to have a keynote speaker from Energy Medicine University chair an upcoming symposium. There were just under 20 comments in the thread and no one was arguing, when I made a decision to post the following comment in response to two comments one pro and one con about energy work in the massage field:

“I agree with what you said (name omitted). Psychological effects cant be regulated or measured; if the subject were medication or diagnosis, we would be talking about educated guess work and the criticism of a lack of definitive tests for diagnosis of mental disorders. It’s not woo to say so but here’s another rub approaching the questions I posed and we’re approaching Obamacare territory to talk about ethical marketing don’t forget! No matter what anyone says past or present: Did America need the FSMTB? Since when and why? Is – are – were civics broken? Is secular society under threat? Last time I checked, universal history in the western tradition has religious foundations in idealism. Tell me again, post 911 that the NCB didn’t do “double” duty?”

This quote from me was deemed off topic and removed by a moderator, who simueltaneously chose to contact me personally and to state that it was off topic and to ask me to maintain continuity of discussion.

What the moderator meant to say and to criticize, were two videos I posted AFTER this comment from HBO’s Rome. Specifically Servillias Death Scene Curse and Attia’s Triumph to illustrate a prior comment I shared about Mimesis regarding “How reality works.”

I replied harshly but refrained from bashing the moderator. Apparently, some deluded soul expected this or this:

I posted an edited version of the above post again with more detail.

“I agree with what you said (name omitted). Psychological effects cant be regulated or measured; if the subject were medication or diagnosis, we would be talking about educated guess work and the criticism of a lack of definitive tests for diagnosis. From there, we could be talking about research and design, methodology, research structure and controls, trials etc. It’s not woo to say so but here’s another rub approaching the questions I posed and we’re approaching Obamacare territory to talk about ethical marketing don’t forget! No matter what anyone says past or present: Did America need the FSMTB? Since when and why was it necessary? Did civics not exist prior too it’s creation? Is – are – were civics broken? Is secular society under threat or religious culture or is that a trick question or the wrong question and why? Last time I checked, universal history in the western tradition has religious foundations in idealism. Tell me again, post 911 that the NCB didn’t do “double” duty?” From there, essentialism comes into play. From a legal standpoint, natural law is a defunct body of law and given that fact, take another look at the advent of the FSMTB. Was it simply the creation of infrastructure to support an emerging profession or as a literary theorist might opine, was there a ‘corpus’ a ‘body’ of evidence being abused in the process? Tell me no one was harmed in the creation of the FSMTB or that no one suffered? Look at the zombie meme that was so disgustingly popular after the war prior to Obamacare. There is a reason for that from a certain point of view.”

That is as close as I can recall to the revised version I posted off the top of my head since I deleted the conversation after it’s being rejected by slight of hand without review.  I recived a snarky reply and was told I had been banned for harassing admins and I did get hateful in my exchange with the moderator.

I wont say it was not overboard to have posted the video’s since not everyone likes or keeps up with pop culture. The zombie reference was a tactful way to make my current point. I was told I was banned from the group. I just checked facebook and for some suspicious reason, I am still receiving updates.

If my head is off the chopping block it may be a matter of consensus being achieved to remove me or a delayed reaction.
